Block Two: Discipleship
The call upon every disciple and every local church, is to follow the way of Jesus and make disciples.
The challenges and opportunities when answering this call with college students are many. It’s both wonderful and messy work!
As you begin to engage in the discipleship of young adults, you get the huge privilege of helping shape and steward their lives, faith and future. How can your church connect with people beyond moments, into a deeper journey of formation? How might your whole church family be activated to disciple one another, across generations, stages of faith, and backgrounds?

Discussion Questions
For you and your team…

What does discipleship mean to you? What experiences and understandings do you bring into this conversation, as a team and in your existing church culture?

Where are you currently stuck around people discipling one another? Where is discipleship already happening naturally and well?

Who else needs to be part of this conversation going forwards? Who can help your church activate in disciple-making, especially with younger generations?
Prayer Space
Take some time to pray together, listen to God and seek His wisdom and vision for this building block.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
– Hebrews 12:1-2 (NIV)
