Prep for College
A workbook for every high school graduate to prepare them in faith and life for starting college well. This is one for groups or individuals to work through, scribble in and dream with God about.
Module 1: Before you begin
First, let’s start by remembering it is not our job to fix, solve, or minimize what high schoolers or young people need to walk through; the good, the bad and the ugly.
Module 2: The Start
Your high school seniors are about to start something monumental in their life, and it has the potential to be good news not only for their careers and futures, but also (and most importantly) for their faith.
Module 3: The Culture
From the culture of their new cities, the start of college and freshman orientation week, drinking & drugs, sex, friendships, money, and even how to pick a new local church; it is easy for us as leaders to feel overwhelmed with it all.
Module 4: The Opportunities
While there are certainly many things for us to be concerned about when we send our students into this next phase of their life, we’d like to argue that there are equally as many incredible opportunities for them to get involved with.
Module 5: The Legacy
While it may seem funny to talk about the end of college before your students have even begun, the fact of the matter is that there days in college are limited. What if we encourage our students to think about the end before they even started?
Module 6: Close Well
We want to challenge you with this: your job is not done when they graduate. You still have a part to play.
How can the church respond to college students?
Having the right conversations at the right time can dramatically transform how a senior approaches a move to college. We are here to support and resource the local church in that converstaion.
“Only 50% of the young people surveyed who identified as Christians said they have a relationship with God.”
